The Social Concerns Committee
The Social Concerns Committee meets quarterly, in the 8th grade classroom at St. Francis Hall. We currently have 24 members on the committee. We begin our meetings with a prayer, and then continue on to discuss the past agenda, the current agenda, and plan out upcoming parish activities/events for the year. Members of this committee volunteer to lead an activity, and they recruit members from within the Social Concerns Committee to assist them with the activity in which they volunteer to lead. The Social Concerns Committee also leads the ministry of St. Mary's Good Shepherd Food Pantry, which opened up February, 2017. We would like to welcome and encourage more parishioners to join the Social Concerns Committee. For more information or to become a member of this committee, contact the parish office at 301-934-8825.
