Winter Coat Drive
No one should go cold this winter. St. Mary Newport is holding a winter coat drive leading up to and through the cold months ahead. We are accepting new or gently used winter coats for men, women, and children. Coats may be dropped off at the church vestibule area or the parish office. When the temperature drops, many people are faced with the impossible decision between paying rent, buying food, or buying a coat that fits their child or themselves. Your generosity and donations can eliminate this struggle and will benefit others in our local community to stay warm. For questions or to arrange a time for dropping off coats, please call the parish office at 301-934-8825. Also, Community Bank of the Chesapeake has agreed to be a drop off site for the collection of used and new coats. They will have a drop off box at each location and will be accepting coats during the entire month of October at both of the La Plata and Charlotte Hall branches.

Thank you Chesapeake Community Bank!
The Chesapeake Community Bank has very generously arranged for a coat drop off at three of their locations locally. The coat drive benefits Fr. Michael's mission of service until the less fortunate. Spread the word among your family, friends and colleagues!
